Cancer hasn't stopped. So neither can we.
For the first time in its 100-year history, the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives and reduce cancer mortality rates is at risk from COVID-19.
Cancer doesn't stop for a pandemic! In all communities, cancer patients and their caregivers need us to forge ahead with our work. We can't and won't allow progress to be put on hold because of COVID-19. At risk are more and better treatments and discoveries that will improve and save lives.
The American Cancer Society has played a role in almost every major cancer research breakthrough in the last century and have funded the research of 49 investigators who went on to win the Nobel Prize. Our rigorous peer-review process is top notch, and we have reach into over 200 institutions nationwide - which allows us to invest in the very best research projects.
We know what to do when it comes to cancer research. But we need your help at this critical moment.
Your gift of $25 could help fund one pair of primers for a chain reaction, used to make multiple copies of a DNA segment for further analysis.
Your gift of $50 will help fund pipette tips that are used to study patient samples.
Your gift of $100 will help fund a one-hour time slot to use shared a cutting-edge microscope.
Your gift of $250 will help fund a case of culture plates to grow human cells that can be tested for a response to a new drug.
Your gift of $500 will help fund a multi-channel pipette that allows a scientist to analyze eight or more samples at a time.
Your gift of $1,000 will help fund a mini gel tank and blot module set. This apparatus is used to separate and detect proteins from blood, cells, or tissue samples.
Your gift of $5,000 will help fund a PCR machine to isolate mutated genes involved in cancer.
Double your impact! Air Force Academy Coach Joe Scott will be matching donations dollar for dollar up to $1,000 to help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer.
Please consider making your donation today and help Coach Scott raise critical funds!
