With wit, wisdom and mostly caffeine Dave Johnson is one Washington D.C.'s most versatile broadcasters. Johnson is the Senior Sports Director at WTOP, the voice of the NBA's Washington Wizards, handles the television for Major League Soccer's D.C. United, and a sports anchor on NBC 4. In October of 2019 Johnson was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and is determined to do all he can to #BeatMS a disease his mother Mary Lue courageously battled.
About the Ambassadors Ball
The annual National MS Society Ambassadors Ball, a premiere event in the Washington, D.C. fall social season for the past 41 years, has raised more than $21 million to support the National MS Society. The 42nd Ambassadors Ball welcomes Congressional Members, Ambassadors, business and philanthropic leaders and their spouses to honor the Diplomatic Corps for their charitable activities and humanitarian endeavors.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society exists because there are people with MS. Our vision is a world free of MS. Everything we do is focused so that people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.
