Tye Hayes is the Chief Technology Officer for the Department of Atlanta Information Management for the City of Atlanta. Tye is a Navy veteran and a consummate professional with over 20 years of experience as a Technologist, Solutions Architect and Business Strategist within in the Information Technology industry. Most recently, Tye served as the Deputy CIO for Atlanta Public Schools. She has an extensive background in IT services, having previously served as an Information Security Officer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics where she led the Information Security Compliance and Governance group. In this role, she directed information and data integrity for all IT functions, helping the company create its first Information Security Roadmap and an Integrated Forensics and Computer Incident Response team.

Tye's established track record of technology leadership and digital transformation has been recognized on local and national levels. She is well respected within the Information Technology field, having been awarded the 2014 CIO 100 Award, STEM Women of Color for IT Leadership Award, Modern Day Technology Leader and Black Engineer Award.
