These two exquisite bottles come from Atlanta's own ASW Distillery, the Southern Pot-Still Pioneers.
Bottle 1: Fiddler Georgia Heartwood Bourbon
DESCRIPTION & MASH BILL
Fiddler Heartwood Bourbon begins with the same foraged high-wheat mash bill as Fiddler Unison Bourbon. We then finish it on hand-harvested, charred Georgia white oak heartwood staves that we hand-charred and placed in the barrels for the final few months of maturation.
In addition to the wheat lending a soft, silky texture and salted caramel, the Georgia staves lend maple, sandalwood, oak, a rounder mouthfeel, for a textured complexity rarely seen in a bourbon.
Fiddler Georgia Heartwood is part of our single barrel program.
51% corn, 45% wheat, 4% malted barley
Finished on varying numbers of staves of hand-harvested, charred white oak
TASTING NOTES
Caramel, maple, fresh orange, sandalwood
AWARDS
Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 2018, 2021
Bottle 2: Fiddler Soloist Straight Bourbon
DESCRIPTION & MASH BILL
Fiddler Soloist Straight Bourbon is our own in-house, high-malt bourbon that we distill by hand on our traditional, double copper pot stills.
Because the Georgia state legislature adopted statewide Prohibition in 1905 (thirteen years before federal Prohibition) and the "Straight Bourbon" designation of quality was not adopted until 1907, Fiddler Soloist is the first Straight Bourbon ever distilled in the City of Atlanta.
56% corn, 44% various malts
(including malted rye, wheat, oats, and barley)
TASTING NOTES
Cherry cola, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, peanut brittle, toffee
