2009 Dom Perignon Magnum

Dom Pérignon doesn't need an introduction, as it is the most recognized prestige cuvée in Champagne. It is named after Dom Pierre Pérignon, a 17th-century monk who made several important innovations in Champagne production. In its youth, Dom Pérignon shows incredibly smooth, creamy fruit with perfect balance and weight. As it ages, it takes on wonderfully toasty aromas and a finesse. 97 Points "This is a DP that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and agile. Vinous. It's like a top grand cru white Burgundy. Think Bâtard-Montrachet. More depth than the 2006. (JS)" 96 Points (Collectibles): "There's a subtle power to this graceful Champagne, which boasts a firm, crystalline frame of acidity married to the fine, satinlike mousse and notes of white raspberry, brioche and Earl Grey tea. Seamless through to the long finish of smoke and spice accents, this opens beautifully in the glass. Drink now through 2029. (WS)"

2011 Tua Rita Syrah Toscana Magnum

Few Italian wines are more sought after or difficult to find than those of Tua Rita, one of Tuscany's most renowned wineries. They play at the top of the game along the lines of Antinori Solaia, Sassicaia and Ornellaia. The big difference is the production size and how difficult it has been over the years to find the Tua Rita wines in the U.S. market. It is one of Italy's cult gems and collectors of Italy's finest wines know that these wines are a must! 97 Points: "The 2011 Syrah is an outstanding wine that evokes the elegance of the Rhone Valley with that of the Rhone Ranger in California. But it also shows a true Tuscan heart with warm climate tones of ripe blackberry and spice... You can count on a long drinking window with this gorgeous Syrah. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035. Stefano Frascolla and Tua Rita have almost single-handedly put Suvereto on Italy's winemaking map. His latest releases are nothing short of spectacular. Drink Date: 2016 - 2035 (WA)"

2010 Le Macchiole Scrio Toscana Rosso Magnum

Le Macchiole is known for its high-density, low-yield practices that have been described as "one bottle of wine per vine." Situated in Tuscany's hotbed of famous estates, Le Macchiole's modest 25 acres produce some of the most consistently outstanding wine in Bolgheri. The extraordinary quality-focused dedication of the Campolmi family has shown outstanding results. 97 Points: "Another striking wine, the 2010 Scrio (Syrah) is off the charts. Mocha, spices, chocolate, black cherries and flowers all wrap around the palate. Varietal aromas and flavors lie behind the wine's superb textural richness and depth. Once fermented in barrel, Scrio is now vinified in stainless steel, which seems to allow the aromatics to truly soar. Over the last few months, the 2010 has developed beautifully. The trademark Bolgheri richness is still present, but the estate has added layers of finesse and complexity that weren't always present in the wines. This is a dazzling effort from Le Macchiole. Drinking Window: 2016 - 2030. (AG, V)"
