GALA & AUCTION FAQs

Q: How do I watch the Gala?
A: The Virtual Gala will be live-streamed from Zoom. You will receive a personal Zoom link that only you can use to join. In other words, two people cannot use the link at the same time. We suggest you watch the event on a device other than your phone, so you can use your phone to participate in the auction simultaneously. Each person who purchases a gala ticket will receive their personal zoom link the week of the event.

Q: Will I be able to interact with other Gala attendees?
A: Yes! There will be a few opportunities to socialize face-to-virtual-face. During the welcome reception, guests will get to interact with event sponsors, ARI donors, staff, and guest speakers. Also, after the gala concludes, there will be a social hour that will allow guests to socialize with each other in different Zoom "rooms".

Q: If I'm having issues connecting to the gala, bidding on items, or making a donation, how do I contact ARI?
A: ARI will have customer service staff available during the auction to help with any issues that may arise.

ARI may be contacted via:

  • Phone at 949-705-5632
  • Email via [email protected]
  • Text message via 814-591-3351
  • Or chat Krissy Keys or David Gulbraa via the Zoom chat function

Q: How will I make bids on the auction and/or make a donation while I'm watching the Virtual Gala?

A: The Gala will be ARI's largest fundraising event of the year, so in addition to the annual auction we'll be requesting donations and giving you updates on our progress throughout the night. So that you don't have to stop watching, we'll be supplying information during the event on how you can text to donate and make bids on auction items. We suggest you watch the event on a device other than your phone, so you can use your phone to participate in the auction simultaneously.  This handout also has step by step directions for registering, bidding, buying, and donating during the gala.  Click on the video below for a quick tutorial on bidding and donating during the ARI gala.
