With the ground shifting so rapidly under our feet these days regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, for now Rocking the Boat is postponing the Rocking the Boathouse benefit-the exact date will be determined as soon as we have enough information and we look forward to having you with us. The social and economic impact of COVID-19 will leave the deeply under-resourced community of the South Bronx needing our support more than ever, and we want to be as prepared as possible to respond to their needs. If you are not able to attend on the rescheduled date, we will gladly either send you a full refund or turn your ticket purchase into a donation.

Thank you for understanding and for your wonderful support.

Rocking the Boathouse is Rocking the Boat's spring event at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, a fitting location for Rocking the Boat Alumni and metropolitan area supporters to come together and celebrate their shared appreciation of wood, boats, water, and all that is possible for the young people of the South Bronx.

At Rocking the Boat, kids don't just build boats, boats build kids. Here are a few stats show the clear impact:

  • On average, 96% of Rocking the Boat students graduate from high school on time-the neighborhood standard is 33%
  • 97% enroll in college or technical schools directly out of high school
  • 57% of Rocking the Boat alumni have received their bachelor's degrees within six years of high school graduation-that compares with 20% for Bronx students from low-income high schools
