Who We Are

Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club (NBGC) was created to help meet the needs of youth in our Chicago community through athletics, out-of-school, and leadership programming. We have had over 80 years of successful programming that has grown into 4 after-school sites that serve majority low-income families, a scholarship program with many of our leaders graduating from college debt-free, and eight athletic leagues that provide financial support for those in need.

Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our members, their families, and the community.

About the Leaders of the Future Celebration

Last year, this event provided $73,000 of college scholarship money to 35 NBGC young leaders. To qualify for scholarships, NBGC young leaders spend time serving at the club as tutors, camp counselors, and referees developing their leadership skills and confidence. We've seen young people's lives become transformed as they're accepted into college and able to graduate debt-free as first-generation college students because of this scholarship program. The event this year be held virtually in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that has deeply affected our community.

We hope you'll tune in for this event!
