About Atlantic City Country Club:
On Sept. 11, 1897 wealthy businessmen, mostly made up of AC Hotel owners, met at the Brighton Hotel to discuss the best options for catering to guests arriving to the resort. It was decided that the new game of "golf" was deemed the best plan of action. The name, Country Club of Atlantic City was chosen and land in Northfield was selected as the site. Its easy accessibility to and from the boardwalk hotels via a trolley line that ran from Atlantic City to Somers Point and Ocean City made it the perfect location.
The founding fathers determined that the course would be 18 holes in length and that a clubhouse would be started. Two-hundred members would be admitted. John Reid, the professional golfer brought in to survey the land decided that the bayside property would make the best holes and the subsequently, the first nine holes were completed rather quickly. While still under construction, the course and clubhouse officially opened on June 18, 1898, just in time for the summer season. There was great interest in the club from the beginning and golfers began to play before all 18 holes were completed. Learn more at accountryclub.com.

Famous Cookies Experience
$500Famous 4th Street Cookies owners Tina & Brian Phillips are going to take you on the cookie making experience from start to finish. Tour the Famous 4th Street Cookies factory where the delicious cookies are made with the best tour guides in the business, Tina & Brian Phillips. To make it even sweeter, Philadelphia's favorite cookies are yours for a year! You will receive a yummy box of cookies from Famous 4th Street Cookies shipped right to your door every month for a year.
About Famous 4th Street Cookies:
Authentic Philly History, with a Distinctive, Delicious Taste. Since 1978.
Philly knows food. So many years ago, when Philly diners on 4th Street wanted a really good cookie to complete their meal at their favorite deli, the Famous 4th Street Cookie was born.
It started with Chocolate Chip, and this was no ordinary cookie. It was big, fresh, chewy, and bursting with genuine genuine chocolate chips. People said it was the best cookie they ever had (with apologies to grandma).
Soon people wanted to get boxes of cookies to take home and share with friends. So the Famous 4th Street Cookie Company was created, and in 1982 the popular Reading Terminal Market location was opened. When our cookies were baked, people lined up and couldn't get enough - and it's still the same today.
In 2016 we opened our brand-new, state-of-the-art bakery at 4177 Ridge Avenue. Over the years we've added lots of delicious, decadent cookies like Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, and the amazing Snickerdoodle.
Today you can order gift boxes of cookies for yourself or a friend for any occasion and have them delivered in a beautiful gift box anywhere in the country. Everything gets shipped fresh the same day they're baked! This website makes it so easy to order.
But through it all, some things have not changed: We still use the same tried-and-true recipe for our Chocolate Chip Cookie. We still use only the finest, all-natural ingredients, with no artificial colors or flavors. And we still use only pure genuine chocolate chips.
Our cookies taste homemade because they ARE homemade - with the same premium, all-natural ingredients grandma used. Just like the first day they were served back on 4th Street so many years ago.
