The NC100BW-PA chapter has dedicated many of its mentor programs and workshops to prepare women and girls to become fierce leaders in the communities. Donations will help underserved girls have opportunities to tour colleges, become self-actualized, and prepare for the future.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NC100BW) is an organization of progressive women whose voice and force for gender equity and sociopolitical advancement drives meaningful change to benefit black women and girls. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of economic empowerment, education and health.

The Madam CJ Walker Awards Luncheon highlights African American women who have demonstrated excellence in entrepreneurial efforts and community outreach in the Delaware Valley Area. Madam CJ Walker's legacy continues to be part of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. - Pennsylvania Chapter's tradition by highlighting her achievements as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. This has become our standard to honor three remarkable women entrepreneurs who have made significant impacts in their careers and community and award three scholastic scholarships.

The 35th Annual Madam CJ Walker Luncheon and Economic Empowerment Network Event is normally scheduled in March of each year. As a result of COVID-19 and the global pandemic, our Coalition was not able to gather in person earlier this year. However, since we also had to postpone the 34th Annual MCJW event, our organization decided to host a hybrid virtual event this fall which will take place over a 2-day period on Friday, September 24th from 6 - 9 PM and Saturday, September 25th from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

The Economic Empowerment Network Event will be different than in years past because it will be held in-person the day before the luncheon and the sole focus will be promoting small Black women owned businesses.  In light of the many small businesses who were negatively impacted by the pandemic, we wanted to create an opportunity for those businesses to promote and sell their products which is going to be the focus of this year's event, instead of a traditional panel discussion like we've had in the past. In addition to small Black women owned businesses marketing and selling their products, attendees will be able to network with each other, and provide an opportunity for resource organizations and sponsors to market and network as well. Everyone who purchased a ticket to the virtual event will have the opportunity to attend this in-person event as well. If you become a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to have a table at this event, depending on the level of sponsorship you secure.

On Saturday, September 25, 2021 we will host the Madam CJ Walker Awards virtually by honoring the 2020 & 2021 scholarship recipients and the 2020 Madam CJ Walker Entrepreneurial Awardees.   We thank you for your anticipated support and dedication in continuing our mission and we look forward to seeing you soon!
