For 60 years, the Center for Family Resources has served Cobb County through decades of change, growth, hardship and unexpected challenges. We are doing everything we can to continue vital services. The disruption caused by COVID-19 is great and has had a significant impact on our operations already with the cancellation of our annual fundraising gala. Unfortunately, the impact on our families will be even greater. The programs and services provided by the Center for Family Resources is extremely valuable and often means the difference between a family staying safely housed or finding themselves facing homelessness.
There are two optional ways that you can partner in our work to address the anticipated increase in need in our community:
* Purchase a ticket for our online raffle. Mark and Rhonda Jacobson, co-owners of Cumberland Diamond Exchange, have donated a diamond pendant and a Victorinox Gens-Officers Swiss Army watch for you to win for yourself or for that special woman or man in your life. The raffle began Friday, March 20th and will end on Thursday, April 30th at 5pm. The winning raffle tickets will be selected Friday, May 1st. Raffle winners can arrange to pick up their winning item immediately after the drawing.
* Make a donation to the Center for Family Resources. If your employer matches employee donations, make a donation and follow-up with your employer to ask for the match.
Now more than ever our community will need to come together to support each other and those with increased need. Purchase a raffle ticket, or two, three or more! Or consider making a donation today.
