El Encuentro Lodge sits on the banks of the Rio Futaleufu near the town of Trevelin, Argentina. Gorgeous views of both the river and the Andes are to be had from the lodge. The lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. Superb service, hospitality, and gourmet dining with the Argentine Asado barbecue as the final treat.

The Beale family has owned the lodge for over 30 years and take great pride in providing their guests with legendary Argentine hospitality, as well as an unforgettable fishing experience.

The guides know every side stream and deep pool around, as well as the abundance of waters in and around the area. Pristine, seldom touched waters await the adventurous fly-fisherman. The guides will work with you to ensure you get to fish a large variety of fisheries in the area, before moving up to the brook trout base camp for a few days. Top-level Simms gear is also available to guests requiring it.

Base camp is optional, but few turn down this amazing opportunity to be right in the heart of trout-filled waters. It is a solar-powered camp with most of the comforts of home, including fine dining, and the extraordinary Argentine Wines.

The spring fishing season in Argentina provides anglers with fresh hatches and hungry trout. Big browns returning from the lakes, hungry rainbows and brookies feeding on nymphs, mayfly, and caddis, make for a spectacular day on the water.
