Update:

To heed the national guidelines to limit groups of more than 50 to gather, we have decided to cancel our annual gala, slated for May 8, 2020. While we are in full agreement with our public health experts that it is a necessary step, financially this is a major setback for our Club.

We still need to raise $75,000. We are asking our potential sponsors and gala attendees to please consider making a donation in spite of the fact that we will not be hosting our annual event. If you were planning to attend, purchase dinner tickets. If you were going to sponsor the event, you still can. If you've already given, and are in a position to give again, please do.

We want to thank our sponsors who have already committed to supporting our gala, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, Burbank Water and Power, Hasbro, Dave and Pat Augustine, Nickelodeon, LA Country Supervisor's Officer, Hotel Amarano, Hollywood Burbank Airport, Cast & Crew entertainment Services, Cusumano Family Foundation and Cari Pelayo. Your commitment to the children of our community is constant and strong. Our appreciation and gratitude are never-ending.

The funds raised support our Club's programs. Our nation, our city and our Club will return, perhaps to a new normal, and our programs and services will be needed and we want to be prepared.

The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley is hosting its 25th annual Gala on Friday, May 8th at Lakeside Golf Club. This year we're celebrating 25 years of serving the children of our community. We think the best way to celebrate our Silver Anniversary is to focus on our extraordinary youth, their accomplishments and give our guests a peek inside to the programs and activities that keep our kids strong, confident and safe.

The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and GEV provides young people ages 5-18 a fun, safe place to learn and grow after school and during summer & winter breaks. We serve more than 4200 children at 23 locations in Burbank, Hollywood, North Hollywood, Sun Valley, and Tujunga. Over 50% of our Club members are on financial aid. Your participation in our Annual Gala will help us reach our fundraising goal and allow us to continue to fulfill our promise of never turning a child away for an inability to pay.

The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley depends heavily on donations from individuals and businesses in our community and not from our national organization. Proceeds from our gala provide program support for our After School Enrichment program, Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program, Creative Arts, Athletics, College Bound, STEAM, Teen Programs and Summer Programs.
