Four Roses Single Barrel is bottled at 50% ABV and is comprised of their OBSV recipe (Four Roses has 10 different recipes). It's a Kentucky straight bourbon made using high-rye mash bill (60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley) and uses their delicate fruit yeast strain. Each batch will vary slightly as is to be expected from single-barrel bottlings.

These is a bi-annual release with the first arriving in the spring of 2018. Each season in the series denoted by different color labels, with the spring releases sporting a green colored label. Additionally, each bottle comes with a faux tax strip that discloses when the bourbon was produced and bottled.
To be labelled Bottled-in-Bond, the whiskey must be the product of one distillation season and one distiller at a single distillery, aged in a federally bonded warehouse under U.S. government supervision for at least four years, and it must be bottled at exactly 100 proof. Also, the Bottled-in-Bond label must clearly identify the distillery where it was distilled and where it was bottled, if different.

They took four-year-old straight bourbon whiskey and aged it in one of 13 different experimental aging environments, from toasted extra-large barrels to standard charred bourbon barrels with stave or cube inserts. Afterwards, the spirits were bottled in 200ml bottles and packaged in sets of five, with a seemingly random selection of five of the 13 different experiments in each set. Mine came with Nos. 3, 4, 8, 10, and 12.
