The Douglas County Search and Rescue Team is offering a unique outdoor experience for up to eight people (usually kids, but we will make it fun for any age).
Participants will learn core back country SAR & skills from experienced team members using real rescue gear. Learn how to raise things (often a birthday kid) using pulleys, first aid, radio communications, tracking, shelter building, and more.... and if a surprise "real" mission involving broken bones, blood and carrying someone out should just happen to occur, this newly-trained rescue team will be in perfect position to assist.
Participants should be at least 8 years old (we will adjust the scenario for the age of the participants). Summer and winter both work.
Dates must not conflict with scheduled unit trainings and are subject to adjustment in the case of SAR missions. *Must be used by February 28, 2021.
