2021 Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala Honorees
2021 Family Philanthropy Award
Jim Stone and his family have been active members of the Alzheimer's Association since its
inception. His father was its founder; his wife, a long time national board member; his family twice
chaired the Rita Hayworth Gala; and his daughter founded the Young Champions committee and serves
on the Steering Committee for the Gala.
He has served as Overseer, Director and Officer for various corporations and non-profits. With
his two sisters, he directs his family's foundation. To honor their mother who fought the disease and
their father who institutionalized that battle, the Alzheimer's Association is its leading beneficiary.
He founded and managed a national logistics consultancy. Currently, he leads The Networking
for Non-Profits Initiative that brings education, health, fine arts, caregiving, gardening, food, furnishings,
and other basic services to underserved children, families and schools.
Jim received an A.B. (honors) and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He lives in Winnetka, IL.
and has three children and five grandchildren.
