WHAT DOES THE DIRECT APPEAL FUND?
Below are just some of the programs and resources made possible by your generous donations:
- Stand-alone, fully equipped Science Lab, Music Room, Art Studio and a new Library and Technology Hub with dedicated specialty teachers
- Teaching assistance to help keep the child-teacher ratio low. Specifically, there are now two teaching professionals in each classroom in Kindergarten, First, and Second grades.
- A new, highly-qualified Math Intervention Specialist to work with individual students in K-5 grades
- Support for Response to Intervention program to help students succeed with reading/literacy
- State test prep materials for Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades
- Enrichment programs like 92Y, Story Pirates, Mathletics/Raz Kids, Clubs, Pea Pods
- Physical Education instructor and equipment, Asphalt Green recess coaches and staff
- Smartboard licensing, technology and classroom upgrades (furniture, rugs and equipment)
- Professional development for the teaching staff
- Safe and reliable coach bus transportation for the Fifth Grade class trip to Rocking Horse Ranch
