Dr. James George devoted his life to emergency medicine and was drawn to art as a way to relax and escape his busy work schedule. In 2016, a tragic fall left him with a spinal cord injury. An art therapist at Magee Rehabilitation helped Dr. George learn to paint with his left hand. Dr. George has generously donated pieces for our silent auction.
This is a painting done by local artists Michael Garr and Bryan Rook and donated to Help Hope Live. It depicts Chestnut Hill, and is valued at $100.
Art Rainey was a former board member of Help Hope Live and every year we honor an oustanding volunteer in his memory.
This year, Ginny Schuster (Art's sister-in-law) has given us this art piece that she made in his memory because she thinks of Help Hope Live as lifesavers. This piece is valued at $450.
