This 1967 Van Morrison show was on his first solo tour of the U.S. after leaving Them. He performed back to back weekends for the Family Dog, first at their short-lived Denver Dog venue, then in San Francisco at the Avalon Ballroom. The central photograph of Chief Josh-an Apache-was taken in 1898 at the Omaha Exposition by Frank A. Reinhart.

A beautiful Mint Condition first printing concert poster advertising New Year's Eve, 1966 shows at San Francisco's Avalon Ballroom featuring the Country Joe & The Fish, Moby Grape, and Lee Michaels. This psychedelic classic features artwork by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. It has been beautifully signed in pencil along the right edge by Kelley. This is FD-41 in the Family Dog concert poster series and often referred to as "Ship", for obvious reasons. A fresh and unfaded example you'll never need to upgrade.

This is a 1st printing poster printed before the concert. Cream, the original power trio, was creating a huge buzz in the music world before performing their first show in the States. Before even hearing them play, Bill Graham had the foresight to book Cream for nearly two weeks at the Fillmore. MacLean's artwork conjures up the mystery of the moors.

It was August of 1967, the "summer of love" and San Francisco was the place to be. Cream began their first tour of America on August 22, at Bill Graham's Fillmore Auditorium. Three dollars was enough to buy a ticket, and the place was packed to the rafters. The Fillmore was sold out for five straight nights, after which Bill Graham gave each member of the band a gold watch.

Of all the vintage concert memorabilia we've auctioned, this one may be the most sought after and important of them all. In regards to desirability, the FD-26 is without question one of the "Holy Grails" in the entire Psychedelic Concert Poster genre. Known as Skeleton & Roses, it is the 26th and most famous image in the Family Dog series as the design would later be appropriated by the band as their logo. It's simply the most iconic psychedelic poster out there. When it comes to selling collectibles, it's the opinions of unbiased, third-party experts that matter the most. In this case, a larger version of this Skeleton & Roses brought in a record-breaking $56,400 last year. This lot offers everything in one mind-blowing package, history, rarity, quality, and one of the most famous counter-culture images of all time.

This was the first Stones tour with new guitarist Ron Wood, after Mick Taylor left the band. The announcement of the tour became famous in itself when the band ignored reporters at a May 1st press conference and instead, drove down Broadway in New York City, playing "Brown Sugar" on the back of a flatbed truck.

This poster is signed by both artists in gold ink, Stanley Mouse and the late Alton Kelley. This poster, commonly known as the "Blue Rose," was created to mark the end of an era-the closing of Winterland in San Francisco. The Grateful Dead, as well as the Blues Brothers and the New Riders of the Purple Sage appeared in this New Year's show. This is one of the classic posters of the era and is a worthy addition to any collection. The final concert at Winterland, is regarded as one of the Dead's finest performances of all at the historic venue, playing for nearly six hours (which is all documented in the CD/DVD The Closing of Winterland). The final bow also included performances from New Riders Of The Purple Sage and The Blues Brothers. The Dead closed the doors and welcomed the New Year with high spirits, to say the least.
