It's no coincidence that Gold is made from two stars colliding. I love that the families that I have seen walk through children with cancer truly shine like stars in the universe. When their worlds collide with others they stand out and reflect the character that has been refined and created through their suffering.
I remember getting the text about Charlie Dina and immediately fell to my knees to pray. I love the Dina's impact on our community and how they are always reflecting the son of Righteousness, pointing others to Jesus and Hope. This was one of the many times I prayed for Charlie. I would stay up all night praying round the clock for his surgeries. I am so thankful for His glory in Charlie's story.
This cause was important to me because my brother lost his best friend to cancer when they were ten years old. It impacted me greatly. I have seen both miraculous healing and suffering. I would love to help fund research and a cure by using my talents to support Turn it Gold.
