Support Mental Health First Aid Training for All EFGA Staff

As you will learn during the program, focusing mental health is at the forefront in regards to living well with epilepsy. EFGA is fortunate to have one staff member who is trained in Mental Health First Aid, but it is imperative that all staff trained.

Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The course introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health concerns, builds understanding of their impact and provides an overview of common treatments.

By donating $500, you will help offset the cost of Mental Health First Aid training by a professional to ensure that everyone at EFGA is properly trained and prepared to help anyone who may call or come into the office needing assistance. This will also help ensure someone on staff is trained in suicide intervention.
