Beautiful Oak Trunk

This beautiful oak trunk was created by inmates at Stanley Correctional Institution specifically for Can Do Canines.

It was built with recycled/repurposed hardwood pallets, which became the frame, top and trim inside and out.

The main panels are red oak veneer plywood pocket screwed together. The lid trim is screwed, glued and doweled around the edge.

The top is a design to mimic a sunburst in a mountain valley. The sun's beams are made primarily of maple.

Measures 24 deep x 48 wide x 27 high.

This beautiful wine rack was created by inmates at Stanley Correctional Institution for Can Do Canines.

It was produced by recycled and repurposed hardwood pallets, and took three days to make. The first day was spent assembling the plan. Day two was spent cutting to size and cutting Dato passes in it to accept other board, then assembling and finish sanding.

Day three the assembled racks are stained and finished with a semi gloss polyurethane. They added felt to the bottoms of the wood to protect the finish of your table top or counter.

What a unique way to store and display your wine!
