The cost to sponsor a Can Do Canines assistance dog team from start to finish.

Provide all the necessities to run the whelping program in Duluth for up to 8 litters of puppies. That is 48 cute puppies this year! Your gift would provide veterinary care, vaccines, medication, 2 hours of training a week for the inmates by our staff member, transportation costs to and from prison for the puppies and the all important - 30 bags of food for up to 8 litters this year!

Can Do Canines seeks the best professional dog trainers and client service coordinators to work with each team so the dog is trained for the specific skills it needs for their client. This customized training can take up to six months in some cases, and continues throughout the life of the dog if the client needs it. You can help support this final training process with a gift of $5000.

Your gift of $1,000 would provide two weeks of staff resources for our prison programs. This includes training inmates, working with puppy placements, transportation, recruiting and training volunteers to provide weekend "prison break" foster homes for training in public places.

Your gift of $1,000 also provides interpreting costs for one Hearing Assist Team in training.

Your gift of $500 can provide medical testing and x-rays for one dog in training. This gift will also help us evaluate a dog adopted from one of the rescue groups we work with. We need x-rays and other medical testing before a shelter dog can be placed in a foster home for behavioral evaluation.

Not only do we provide our trained assistance dogs free of charge to our clients, we provide them with a starter kit for their dog. This kit contains a crate, training cape, heartworm and flea preventative, leash, dog bowls, collar, and one bag of dog food to provide the right supplies for living in their new forever home.

Your gift of $100 provides 3 months of dog food for one dog in our prison program.

Your gift of $50 provides three months of heartworm prevention for a puppy in training. Or, we purchase baby onesies to put on our puppies to get them used to wearing something on their bodies before we put a training cape on them. You can provide those onesies for our breeding program.

Your gift of $25 provides a leash and collar for one dog in our puppy program.
