Have you always wanted to learn specific cooking techniques or recipes? Do you feel that big cooking school classes are intimidating or you don't feel you can ask all of your questions? How about a small class of four participants, an opportunity to really try things, and a wonderful meal at the end?
Canning can be scary - at least it used to be. It's actually easy to make small batches of jams, salsas, and pickles without spending the day prepping vegetables and fruit and standing in a steamy kitchen. You'll learn how to quickly make a few jars of tasty preserves, salsas, and pickles and create imaginative combinations of flavors. You'll have host/hostess gifts ready to go! The actual recipes will be dependent on what's fresh at the market. This class will be offered after April 15th to allow the farmers markets to become active.
All participants will receive the recipes and hints for making dishes in advance.
