Prescott Elementary 8th Annual Cocktail Party Benefit - February 29, 2020
Prescott Elementary School is counting on your support for our 8th Annual Benefit on February 29, 2020. Our school is unique among Chicago public elementary schools. Chicago Magazine recently rated Prescott among the top 15 elementary schools in the city, yet only 12 short years ago, this school was slated to close due to low enrollment! Located in Lincoln Park, our student demographics reflect the city as a whole: 40% of our students come from low-income families, 14% are limited-English speaking, and 12% are diverse learners. Every day we prove that neighborhood schools work, and an achievement this significant is only possible with support from not only our parents and educators, but also local businesses, neighbors and civic institutions.
Prescott Parents, the nonprofit parent organization supporting Prescott School, will hold its largest annual fundraiser on February 29, 2020. Please show your support to Prescott School, a fantastic local resource: donate an auction item for our silent auction; or become a sponsor by donating funds. There are significant funding shortfalls in the Chicago Public School system and Prescott School relies on donations to Prescott Parents to fill this void. Your contribution will directly impact student instruction and academic performance at our school. The majority of our $90,000 goal this year will support critical components of our school's budget, including science and math materials, books and computers, and teacher professional development as well as essential supplies and expenses required for day to day school operations.
Your gift directly benefits the students and Prescott Elementary School. Prescott is a remarkable neighborhood asset and we invite you to visit and learn more firsthand. Your support will be visible and recognized among our 800+ parent and faculty community from all over Chicago. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
