2015 Reserve 'Roaring' Red
A word about the wine.
This 2015 red blend is technically entitled to be labeled as Cabernet Sauvignon however it's flavor and character are deeply influenced by the other classic Bordeaux varieties.
It's Columbia Valley pedigree:
Cabernet Sauvignon | Sagemoor Vineyard | 80.4%
Malbec | Lonesome Spring Vineyard | 9.4%
Petit Verdot | Lonesome Spring Vineyard | 4.6%
Cabernet Franc | Lonesome Spring Vineyard | 4.6%
Merlot | Caroway Estate Vineyard | 1%
These components are the five classic grapes of Bordeaux and the blend has flavor and balance which transcend the individual to become, when combined, unique. The wine received greater than average time in French oak barrels and has had a further 22 months in bottle. The aroma is beguiling and individual and the pallet impression is ripe, soft, long and smooth.
The blend of varieties is, in our mind, reminiscent of the blend of artistic organizations, styles and talents presented by the Mid-Columbia Arts organizations we've all come together to support.
We're delighted to offer this blend in support of our fine organizations. Know that 100% of your generous purchase price will used in their support.
