Elephants by nature are highly developed, very sensitive, intelligent animals. So intelligent, in fact, they can paint! Meet Thong Dee. Thong Dee was taught to paint as a behavioral enrichment program. Make a statement in your home with this artwork created by this endearing Thai elephant, Thong Dee. Thong Dee came to the Taronga Zoo as part of a breeding program for endangered Asian elephants and is world-renowned for being the first elephant to give birth in Australia. Thong Dee's offspring, Tutka is the first denale calf to be born at Taronga Zoo. Her name means "doll" in Thai. Take home this clever little elephant's painting and become part of history. Her birth along with others at the zoo is extremely important as the Asian elephant populations continue to decrease. Donors: Eric & Judy Nygard
