Benefiting Neuroscience, Pediatrics and Women's Health at Greenwich Hospital

As a member of Yale New Haven Health and a major academic affiliate of Yale School of Medicine, Greenwich Hospital is expanding clinical services. This year, our Benefit will strengthen:

  • Neuroscience. A broad discipline addressing the brain, nervous system and spinal cord, where new procedures are paving the way for recovery from stroke, movement disorders and therapies for dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
  • Pediatrics. Children's health from neonatal care to specialty and emergency services, now aligned with Yale New Haven Children's Hospital in Greenwich.
  • Women's Health. Individualized attention to fertility, gynecology, breast cancer, and heart and vascular conditions.

Honoring The Arthur and Elizabeth Martinez Family

Arthur C. Martinez is retired from a distinguished career as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Sears, Roebuck and Co., leader of other corporations, and director of boards of Fortune 500 companies and various nonprofits. He has played an active role on Greenwich Hospital's Board of Trustees, beginning in 2002. Since then, Mr. Martinez has led or co-led the board for three distinct terms. Greenwich Hospital is a cause that Mrs. Martinez has supported as well. She has been a dedicated volunteer on hospital fundraising event committees.

 

 

Honoring James Anthony Brunetti, DO 

Dr. James Brunetti is an internist and second generation Greenwich resident. As former chief medical resident at Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Brunetti embraced the values around patient care that became a guiding principle in his private practice. In 2001, Greenwich Hospital awarded Dr. Brunetti the prestigious Partner in Care Award. He was the recipient of the Patient's Choice Award in 2009, 2010 and 2011, an award conferred on the top ten percent of physicians. Also in 2011, Dr. Brunetti won the Father Rufin Compassionate Care Award bestowed by the Bishop of Fairfield County.

Since his 2011 self-titled debut, Grammer has scored seven chart-topping hits, including the single "Honey, I'm Good" which reached quadruple-platinum status globally and emerged as one of the best-selling songs of 2015, hitting number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The recent 2019 release of his fourth full-length, Naive, has received critical acclaim. The album's lead single "Don't Give Up On Me" is featured in the big screen drama Five Feet Apart, and clocked 18 million Spotify streams in just three weeks.

 

Master of Ceremonies Kathie Lee Gifford

Kathie Lee Gifford, the four-time Emmy-winner and bestselling multi-hyphenate is best known for co-hosting NBC's popular 4th hour of TODAY alongside Hoda Kotb, a role for which she and Kotb both took home Emmy Awards for "Best Outstanding Informative Talk Show Hosts" in 2019. In April of 2019 she made her directorial film debut with The God Who Sees, a musical film she co-wrote with singer-songwriter Nicole C. Mullen which has already been streamed by millions. 

 

Entertainment by DJ April Larken

April Larken's skills on the turntables, combined with her flair for fashion, have quickly made her one of the most in-demand female DJs in Fairfield county. DJing at the most stylish events, April stands firmly at the intersection of music and fashion, as she is equally influenced by both. .

 

Auctioneer Duncan Schieb

Australian-born and bred, Duncan Schieb has what they call a true "Australian Wanderlust." He was born in a small cattle town about seven hours drive northwest of Sydney, where, as a 12-year-old, he started calling live auctions for his father's cattle trading and real estate company. From that time, Duncan has traveled the world and lived in the UK, Hong Kong, across Australia and now in New York City and has called over 12,000 auctions of all kinds.
