Pacific Paradise
Wyland Giclee
SN 68 / 750
Coral reefs are among the world's most magnificent natural structures, protecting shorelines from crashing waves and battering storms. In fact, it is believed that the reefs may harbor as much diversity of life as a rainforest. In this beautifully framed giclee, "A Pacific Paradise," by Wyland, all the wonder and majesty of these rainforests of the sea comes to life in a way that no other artist can match.

Blue Marin Waters
Wyland ©2010
Limited Edition Giclee
SN 744/750
The astonishing painting, "Blue Marlin Waters," is a refinement of Wyland's passion for studying and understanding the Atlantic blue marlin, a top predator renowned for its agility and incredibly fast swimming ability. Marlin can reach speeds in the open ocean of up to 68 miles per hour. "They are recognized by most people as a sport fish," Wyland says. "But for an artist they represent something much more magnificent - they are creatures of phenomenal speed, power, and an almost regal beauty."

Blue Marin Blues
Wyland ©2014
Framed Limited Edition Giclee
SN 749/750
"Speed, power, and grace ..." That is how Wyland describes his appreciation for the blue marlin, one of the most recognizable of all fish. Native to the tropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Ocean, these strikingly beautiful animals can reach up to 14 feet in length and weigh close to two tons. "As an artist, I find everything about the blue marlin to be incredible," Wyland says. "From their dazzling cobalt blue and silvery white coloring to their iconic dorsal fin and spear shaped upper jaw. They are also highly migratory and will follow warm ocean currents for hundreds of miles." In "Blue Marlin Blues," Wyland captures the hidden sight of two blue marlins using their spears to slash through a dense school of mackerel.

Original Oil
In this stunning original oil painting, Wyland creates a bold, visceral experience of color under the prism of the evening sky, as a great whale begins an epic descent into the ocean below. "The immediacy of the whale tail in the foreground brings the viewer directly into the painting," Wyland says. "I wanted to share that sense of awe one feels when they are in the close presence of these leviathans.
