About Trinity River Mission
Trinity River Mission (TRM) helps over 550 minority and low-income children and their families to Dream, Believe, and Achieve. In West Dallas, the threat of dropout, gangs, substance abuse, and teen pregnancy is very real. Our afterschool and summer programs expose children to new opportunities that help them imagine new possibilities for their future and put them on a path to educational and personal success. Our core services include:
- Academic Support/Intervention
- 1-on-1 Literacy and Math tutoring
- College and Career Readiness
- Character/Leadership Development
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Parental Engagement
Because of support from people like you, on average, 98% of students graduate, 95% are promoted to the next grade level, and 90% enroll in post-secondary education. The majority of our students are the first in their family to graduate and/or go to college.
TRM relies on the help of 600+ volunteers annually who serve in such roles as Tutor, Mentor, Homework Helper, and STEAM Aid. We invite you to join us in our important mission. To learn how you can change a life, please contact Jazmine Lewis, Chief Officer of Operations and Programs, at [email protected].
