As the area's premier no-kill shelter, the Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC) engages the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals. HSSC receives no federal funding, nor is it affiliated with any other humane organization. We rely solely on contributions from individuals, corporations, and donations to achieve our lifesaving work.

Over 1,800 animals receive food, medicine, and loving care in our facility each year. In addition, HSSC offers community-enriching programs: an affordable public animal clinic, humane education, pet therapy, obedience courses, a pet food pantry, and more.

We envision a community where all animals are cared for and loved. By donating, you help make that vision a reality.

About the Tournament

The 15th Annual Humane Society Golf Tournament benefiting the Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC) will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Laurel Oak Country Club. Check-in will begin at 7:30am. Enjoy a continental breakfast before the shotgun start at 8:30am. After a rousing round of 18 on one of Sarasota's most challenging courses, settle in for a lunch reception and the announcement of the winning teams. Along the way, there will be prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and-of course-adoptable animals.

All proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit HSSC's lifesaving mission. HSSC receives no federal funding, nor is it funded by any national humane organization. HSSC relies solely on contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. We hope to see you on the course!
