This piece's markings denote rhythmical and spatial patterns. Each mark is made by my hand and together each design creates its own fingerprint of human creation. These marks are done slow to ensure the feeling of the piece is holistic. The simplicity of the markmaking somewhat comes from the fear of accidental appropriation. No one can make claim to The Mark, therefore it is ours. The title is based on the similarity between the sound of the word and the look of the piece.
