2015 Keplinger Diamond Bar (Fair Play) 100% Syrah. This intense, 100% Syrah hails from Skinner Vineyard, which sits at 2700' in Fair Play on a south-facing slope with thrilling soils of decomposed granite.

The nose opens with black fruit, black olive, dried violets, and white pepper, following with pipe tobacco, black licorice, suede, and sumac. The palate is intense and almost muscular, with layers of mission fig, blue to black fruit, and carob notes sweetening the savory, long finish. 78 cases produced.

The majority of the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Ink Grade (on the back side of Howell Mountain), which provides the framework and structure to carry this wine. We incorporated vineyards in Pope Valley, Stags Leap District and Oak Knoll that complimented the abundance of tannin, color and structure already in place. This diversity and range within Napa Valley has allowed us to craft a wine which showcases the unique Napa Valley terroir in an approachable, elegant style. The 2016, delivers notes of rainier cherries, currants, elderberries, incense, forest floor, and dried herbs with bright acidity, adding freshness and verve to the long persistent finish.
