"I was born in Santiago, Chile and migrated to the U.S. when I was eleven years old after a military coup in 1973. I am currently married, a mother to three amazing young women, and a grandmother. I have a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Illinois and currently enjoy a full-time career in law enforcement with the Chicago Police Department. My devotion to art began in 2000 after one of my twin daughters was diagnosed with leukemia at the tender age of four. Art became my therapy to process challenging life events, tragedies and pain. Beside my therapy Art became my hobby and my passion. I'm a self-taught artist.
I have participated in a multitude of exhibits through-out the city of Chicago including K9s For Cop's Public Art Project on Michigan Avenue, 345 Art Gallery, Zhou B Art Center, Old Town School of Folk Music and more. I enjoy using a multitude of mediums acrylic being my preferred."
