Since 1916, something special has been happening along the pristine shores of Raquette Lake. For seven extraordinary weeks each summer, campers ages 6 to 15 have made Raquette Lake Camps a special haven for building lifelong memories. The vast majority the campers return, summer after summer, to rekindle old friendships and make new ones.

Raquette Lake Camps is an authority when it comes to food allergies. With a director who has a tree nut allergy and a long history of allergy awareness, there are no allergies Raquette can't handle. All food at the camp is completely free of peanuts, tree nuts and legumes, and their Food Service Director works all year long to plan food allergy-friendly meals, making sure no products with cross-contamination warnings enter the facilities. Also- no packages are allowed to be sent to campers, eliminating any risk of outside food coming into the camp.

6-night Mini Mak Rookie Camp

The spirit of Camp Mah-Kee-Nac lies in the commitment to our community. Campers and staff feel supported, challenged and encouraged to participate in an action-packed day of sports, outdoor adventure, waterfront, media and the arts. Through these activities and our elective-based program, campers build confidence by experiencing success. Our 6-night Mini Mak Rookie Camp takes place while camp is in session. Boys are housed in a separate Mini Mak bunk on Junior Camp and are

As the parent of a child with multiple food allergies, Stephanie Sorkin lives in New York with her husband and three children. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Stephanie is the author of numerous children's books, and is extremely proud of the fact that most of the proceeds of her books are donated to organizations that help children around the world.

DISCOVERY CAMP WEEKEND

Winadu was founded in 1927 by camp pioneers, "Doc" Winnick, Mac Nadelson and Irv Dube, hence the name "Winadu." At that time, the camp mainly focused on Indian lore, offering programs like arts & crafts, nature studies, woodworking, and sports. Doc, Mac, and Irv ran the camp until it was purchased by Shelley and Arleen Weiner in 1974. Under their guidance, Winadu established itself as the premier, traditional boys sports camp in the nation.
