Artist Robert Bealle was a professional taxidermist for 12 years. In 1981 his taxidermy work gave way to wildlife art. Robert has been a contributing artist to Ducks Unlimited since 1982. He gained national recognition as a wildlife artist after placing 2nd in the 1983 Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Before winning the Federal Duck Stamp Contest in 2009, he won three Maryland Duck Stamp Contests (1994, 2003, and 2008).
