ABOUT OUR HONOREE, JOAN WATERS, COFCO Chief Executive Officer

Joan Waters joined the COFCO team in 1988 and brought with her extensive, and invaluable industry experience. Her exceptional level of professionalism and a passion for a relationship-centric business approach catapulted Joan to great success within the dealership. Joan "rose through the ranks" quickly. Her great vision, hard work, and dedication earned her an appointment to CEO and equity partner.

In addition to her responsibilities at COFCO, Joan sits on the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, is an active member of the AWE Alliance for Women Entrepreneurs and is a member of the American Street Empowerment Zone Community Trust Board in Philadelphia. Joan is also very active in the fight against cancer.

The NAWBO Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs is the charitable arm of the NAWBO Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Founded in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, the Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs provides emerging and established entrepreneurs with opportunities to develop and grow their business.

Our mission is to enhance and expand educational, leadership and research opportunities for emerging and established entrepreneurs.
