Mid-20th century hand-carved wooden figural set depicting the classic theme of Crusaders (W) versus Saracens (B). Maker unknown. There is some very nice carving on this set, with architectural rooks and knights mounted on the front halves of horses, with the back halves cloaked. Condition very good. King height 120 mm; pawn height 70 mm.
