Steve Tidwell Memorial Shoot for the Troops

This years shoot is being held in honor of Steve Tidwell.

Hollis Steve Tidwell, 76 passed away April 2, 2019 after a valiant battle against ALS. Steve is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Class of 1965, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Steve became the Vice President of Real Estate and Construction for Shoney's Inc. and was a franchisee of Captain D's for over 43 years. He served in the Tennessee Air National Guard, the Nashville Metropolitan Planning Commission, O'Charley's Board of Directors, and was a founding member of the Joshua Chamberlain Society/Nashville.

Steve was a kind and humble man. In business as in life, he was a man of honor and integrity. He was a loyal friend who enriched the lives of all those he touched. His love of travel and adventure led him to the far corners of the globe. He loved hunting in Mississippi and Argentina, fishing in the Boundary Waters, and snow skiing with family and friends.

Steve was an avid supporter of the JCS mission and was passionate about the care and support of our returning Heroes from war.

The Joshua Chamberlain Society ("JCS") is a grass roots, 501(c)(3) federally tax exempt charity that was formed with the mission of providing long term support to veterans from local areas that have sustained permanent combat injuries fighting the long war on terror for our nation. It also provides long term support to the children of local veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in our service. Founded in St. Louis Missouri it has now expanded into additional chapters serving the Nashville Tennessee and Houston Texas areas. Each chapter runs independently so donors know their contributions stay with their local JCS Heroes.
