Villa Antinori Bianco Toscana 2018

The climate of the 2018 vintage was marked by a slight early lag in the growth and development of the vines, a delay then recovered by the time of bud burst.

Villa Antinori Bianco shows a straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The nose, fruity and floral, offers much finesse and elegance with notes of bananas, pineapple, white flowers, and candied fruit. The palate is balanced with a good persistence and savory mineral notes on the finish and aftertaste. Makes a great aperitif and is perfect with pizza, pasta and seafood.

Auspicion Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

A classic Cabernet in structure and finesse, Auspicion Cabernet is loaded with ripe berry and plum aromas; juicy black fruit is balanced by silky tannins and a lingering finish accented by touches of chocolate, toffee, and vanilla. Following fermentation, the wine was aged in oak for several months. Full-bodied and complex upon release, it will continue to develop and improve for up to five years. Enjoy with pasta, chicken, grilled meats and a variety of cheeses.

Chalone Vineyard 2015 Chardonnay

This 2015 Estate Chardonnay opens with a delicate bouquet of lemon, nectarine and a warm toastiness. The palate is complex, finessed and balanced with flavors of orange zest, apricot and a hint of vanilla. The age of the vineyards coupled with the limestone terroir delivers exceptional complexity and minerality unique to the Chalone AVA. Sterling Vintner's Collection 2017 Pinot Noir

The Sterling Vintner's Collection Pinot Noir offers notes of black cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, vanilla and tobacco spice on the nose. The concentrated palate is rich with good depth and complex flavors of dark berries, black tea, cocoa dust and warm vanilla. The tannins are silky and well-integrated and lead to a flavorful finish.

Zahtila Vineyards 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon

The first Cabernet Sauvignon produced in 2000 under the label Zathila Vineyards by winemaker Laura Swanton (much later Laura changed the name of the winery to Laura Michael to represent both her and her husband's first names). Their production has remained small, generally around 2000 cases per year. All fruit is sourced from premium vineyards in the Napa Valley & neighboring Sonoma County.

The blackberry, currant and sweet plum flavors are saturated with an overlay of oak that adds vanilla and smoke to an already overweight wine. Tannins are soft, and the wine feels like velvet gliding across the palate.

Duckhorn Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Duckhorn Vineyards has been making Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc since 1982. Enticing aromas of grapefruit, melon and lime leap from the glass, followed by tropical notes of lychee, pineapple and passionfruit. On the palate, this Sauvignon Blanc is juicy and bright, with silky layers of fruit balanced by lovely natural acidity and a vibrant streak of minerality. Hints of zesty citrus and subtle baking spices linger throughout a long, focused finish.

The Snitch Chardonnay 2017

When creating their wines, The Prisoner Wine Company always look for fresh approaches to traditional varietals. For The Snitch, they combined Chardonnay from exceptional vineyards in warm Oak Knoll and cool-climate Carneros with just a touch of Roussanne. The result is bright and rich with an unexpected something special.

Fresh tropical fruit, apple, and pear on the nose. The palate offers richness balanced by bright acidity. The Prisoner Wine Company Snitch is a Chardonnay with a twist. The winery puts a tiny amount of Viognier in the blend, adding a lift to the wine. The 2017 vintage is quite appealing. This wine is elevated with great textures and brightened with pretty aromatics.

Bastianich Vespa Bianco 2015

The flagship wine of the Bastianich estate, Vespa Bianco was created to showcase the power and evolution that a great Friulian white can have. Consisting of equal parts Sauvignon and Chardonnay with a measure of Picolit, Vespa becomes more than a sum of its parts, a wine of uncommon complexity and longevity. Layers of fruit supported by a lovely vein of minerality which gives the wine notable continuity on the palate as well as a long, clean finish... Clearly has the stuffing to develop further complexity in bottle.

Ricominciare Altísimo Malbec 2010

Ricominciare uses only grapes from the Finca San Vicente Estate, in La Consulta in Uco Valley. This vineyard has been in the Catena for more than 50 years. Deep sandy soils, the high altitude of the vineyards and the water coming from the thaw of the Andes Mountains combine to create wines of unique personality.

The harvest is done 100% by hand. Only native yeasts are used and fermentation is done in small concrete tanks plot by plot. The wines are bottledwith no fining and only a very light filtration. The aim is always elegance.

Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2014

Made predominantly from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Saint-Émilion wines tend to have a rich, mouth-drying tannic structure, which is balanced by the more juicy characteristics of plum and black cherry fruit, along with chocolate and sweet spice, developing savory tobacco and cedar characteristics with age. Very beautiful deep and brilliant red color with spices on the nose. A lot of finesse on the palate with nutmeg and white pepper flavors. A very balanced wine that develops a good length on the palate and a mineral finish. Fine and persistent tannins. This vintage of Les Cadrans can age 5 to 10 years. Blend: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Bastianich Vini Orsone Friulano 2017

Medium-bodied, with delicious aromas and flavors of mature pear and peach with a fresh mineral backbone and good acidity. Friulano is famous for its light hint of almond on the long finish. Pair with Prosciutto di San Daniele and cured meats. Montasio and other fresh cheeses.

Very attractive and still really youthful with bright aromas of nectarines and sliced pears. Ripe and succulent with excellent balance for the hot vintage. Long and polished finish.

Bastianich Estates La Mozza Morellino di Scansano I Perazzi 2016

In the glass has a ruby-red, dark and intense dress. The nose is characterized by aromas of red fruit, including cherry, well mixed with spicy hints of licorice. The mouth is full, structured, with an important tannin. It closes with a long finish.

Juicy dark fruit mingles with spice and licorice on the palate. The bright, ripe cherry and soft texture make this a natural match with fresh Mediterranean flavors and dishes.
Excellent with first courses based on structured sauces, it is also ideal with red and white meat dishes. Try it in a more original version with a Bismarck pizza.

Here's another winning edition of this great wine. The 2015 Vespa Bianco has that familiar creamy texture and richness but a more evolved aromatic profile. What's special about this vintage is the dimension it now shows along with some very tonic fruit at the back. It is spicy and warm, with flashes of bright tangerine, and offers so much intensity and textural purity. This beautiful wine calls for a nice grilled ocean fish, such as orata or a black sea bass.
