Raised beds (Estimated dimensions: 8' L x 4' W x 16" H) offer a convenient and attractive way to grow vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers. The South Shore Natural Science Center's gardening experts will consult with you to identify the ideal placement, recommend plant varieties to suit your preferences (herb, veggie, perennial), and then help your family build and plant a raised bed garden at your house. Beds will be made of locally-sourced, high quality cedar lumber and filled with rich soil to give your garden a healthy start!
