Artist Statement: I grew up in the west, loving the vast and varied landscapes. As my father drove, I learned to be an artist. Seeing antelope & elk herds, passing clouds ,open spaces and erasing from my vision the things I did not like to see.

I love to paint from life. There are more than three dimensions available when painting live. It is truly thrilling to try to capture a precise moment in time.
The changing light, movement, smells and sounds of the environment are all in the final work of art. I see my work as a record of this time in our history and of my view of the west in which I live.
