About the Artist: Kathleen Jones has been painting since she was in diapers. Her lack of athletic ability led her mother to sign her up for art lessons as a child, which quickly grew into an obsession that never calmed. Mixed with a love of fashion magazines and re-decorating her room, Kathleen eventually combined all of her passions into a quirky and design-focused aesthetic that is all her own. Kathleen is currently represented by Anne Irwin Fine Art (Atlanta, GA), Meyer Vogl Gallery (Charleston, SC), and Caroline Nix Gallery (Gainesville, GA).
This 18" x 12" pigment inkjet print was created by Julie L. Sims.Sims is a local artist who lives and works in Atlanta. Her work is informed by an interest in science and the nature of reality. A recent breast cancer experience has had her to begin examining questions of identify and selfhood in the context of health and medicine. She has exhibited nationally, and locally at Whitespace, Gallery 72, MINT Gallery, The Dalton Gallery, and The Welch School of Art and Design, among others. Her work has been written about in Creative Loafing, ArtsATL.com, and has been featured in publications including Possible Futures' Noplaceness: Art in a Post-Urban Landscape.

Limited edition artwork created by a child at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - one of FTK's beneficiaries. Artist: Kevin Kevin is working hard in therapy to overcome his history of severe mental health challenges. Art has become a very important part of his life now. He does well in school, and loves history and geography. He dreams of traveling the world one day. Kevin was very moved by the work of Canadian "First Nations" artist Emily Clark, and her incorporation of totem pole carvings in her pieces. Kevin created a haunting image of a warrior with his ax, surrounded by dense forest.

He recalls that dressing the part of native Americans provided boys with a sense of historical perspective and a constant source of distractions due to the revealing loincloths.
This 12"x16"piece is an image of two women superimposed over a dog. This piece comes from a body of work that focuses on women, beauty, and the subjectivism of both, particularly used together. The idea behind the works is that women in the fashion and beauty industry are coveted by the rest of the world, male and female, and the subject of what we deem to be the "ideal image" of a beautiful woman. This image specifically gives power back to the subject, by essentially illustrating the two women as the aggressor in the work.
