 Honoring George Kraus

George and Patty Kraus have a long history of philanthropic giving.  Through the years, they have supported countless worthy causes - locally, nationally and internationally.  Without question, they have internalized the guiding principle "to whom much is given, much is expected". 

George's commitment to Crossing Thresholds (CT) began in 2008.  Having worked closely with Carter for many years in Central America, he traveled to Kenya to help launch our mission in the Kibera Slum.  After his trip, George and Patty were almost singularly responsible for raising the startup capital to build our first school and establish our presence in Kenya.  

The Kraus's initial gift set the stage for everything to come.  Ten years later, that gift has given thousands of children the opportunity to eat, to learn, and to pursue a more hopeful future.  No one is more deserving of our thanks.  It is our joy to honor them on Saturday November 16th.
