Join us for our 31st Annual Elegant Evening. The best party of the year!

All donations and portions of your purchased tickets provide direct assistance

to the women and youth in our community.


Our evening will be guided by Mr. Mike Peron, our Masters of Ceremony and we'll dance to the music of Trey Stone,  our friend who has been inducted in the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame and guests will enjoy libation tastings on their arrival! Thus far, you'll enjoy tastings from Crystal Basin Cellars and Tahoe Blue Vodka!

Guests will enjoy a beautiful plated dinner served by Harrah's finest, an amazing "Silent Auction", "Elegant Business Baskets", our signature"Elegant Bags", plus live music by Trey Stone and the Soul Experience which makes for a busy dance floor. Our fabulous seated dinner will include your choice of Chicken Piccata, London Broil, or a Vegan Chef's Creation. That with a beautiful green salad and Double Meyer's Lemon Tart for dessert, what more could you ask for? 

Our online auction site enables us to make a great deal of money for our community. It's easy and it's fun! Remember....what WE raise at this event gets spent on people and projects that will lead to lasting results and YOU are a part of that good work by participating.

We want you to USE YOUR ELECTRONICS and bid to your heart's content whether you're at our party or not! You can view our donations during our entire process. To begin the process be sure to purchase your tickets or register if you can't attend. All bids will be received electronically. We will have our ladies prepared to help you at our event should you need assistance if electronics are not quite your friend yet. We'll even have a charging station!

And remember....ALL funds raised at this evening's event will go directly into service beginning in July.

The Google Analytics this past year demonstrate the efforts we have been making over the years to promote our club just like you promote your business! Last year our website logged 2,292 users-87% which are new user. This is a 64% increase over the previous year. We had 3,129 number of sessions with 5,458 pageviews, a 68% increase over the previous year.
  • Our event auction site analytics from January 1 - May 1 accounted for 2,602 separate sessions, 1,301 unique users and 32,476-page views. This is more online exposure for you and your business.
  • Your logo and web link on our Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra's weekly e-newsletter (emailed to 400 people each week, here and beyond Tahoe) boasts an open rate of 35% and higher and for any business, that's impressive. Our e-news is then connected to the Sierra Nevada Region which has over 2,200 members in 60 clubs just for our region. This area covers Sacramento north to Yreka and almost all of Nevada.   • Recurring posts on our Facebook page here. Our page has 400 followers and we not only post information pertinent to events, we also post our weekly newsletter so even more people can read about our efforts.

Our Special Appeal for the evening!

This year our goal is to raise an additional $5000.00 to benefit our community's Tahoe Magic. 

For the first 14 years, Tahoe Magic's main outreach and support was to families that struggled at holiday times. Tahoe Magic believed that every child should be able to experience a little magic in their lives and was able to provide thousands of gifts to thousands of children at Christmas.

Through time, Tahoe Magic began responding to the evolving changes and community needs. In 2006, many middle class families had moved away from Tahoe, our economy had begun to decline and our low-income population was struggling to stay in Tahoe.

The Board of Tahoe Magic realized that families were often in crisis on a year-round basis and that Tahoe Magic could help them to remain in Tahoe, with heat, electricity and a roof over their head. Tahoe Magic now focuses on helping families year round, working with various referring agencies to respond to our most needy families requiring one time funding because of a crisis in their lives.

Tahoe Magic disburses more that $30,000 annually in response to requests referred through our community partners. We are the only non-profit in South Lake Tahoe that is designed to provide financial assistance to families in crisis immediately through this referral process. We are able to do this through a legacy gift, grants and donations.

Thank you for your kind attendance and generous support of our fund raiser. You are a partner in our mission to enhance the lives of women and youth in our community and the world.

We strongly encourage bidding with PASSION & PURPOSE
1. All auction items offered are donated. There are no auction items for sale on consignment.
2. A bid constitutes a legal contract to buy. You are required by law to pay for the item for which you were the successful bidder. All sales are final, and all items are non-refundable.
3. If an item has an expiration date, it is the responsibility of the winning bidder to comply with the expiration date and to finalize transactions within the time frames specified on the item certificate. All taxes, applicable fees, or reservations are the responsibility of the successful bidder.
4. All items must be paid for by the end of the evening by the successful bidder. Credit Card registrations will provide payment the evening of the event. If an item is to be shipped out of the Lake Tahoe Basin, it is the recipient who is responsible for shipping costs.
5. While every reasonable effort has been made to describe each item correctly, all items and services are sold "as is". Values of items offered for auction are donor's estimates and are not warranted by Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra.
6. We reserve the right to withdraw any property before or during a sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal. The highest bidder acknowledged by the online system will be the purchaser. 
7. Any mistakes in invoicing after the sale will be recognized as such by the buyer and the buyer will be obligated to the price. 
8. Whenever prize donations include alcohol, the bidder must show current identification demonstrating they are legally allowed to make the purchase. Alcohol cannot be shipped. 
9. As per IRS guidelines, SITS is informing all guests that the event cost for goods and services for each ticket is $75.00. Please refer to your tax consultant.
