Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra would like to invite you to our 32nd Annual Elegant Evening at Harrah's Lake Tahoe on Friday, April 23, 2021! 

We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

All donations and donations provide direct assistance to the women and youth in our community.

Our evening was from the comfort of your own homes as we all worked to keep our families and community safe. Because of our online format, we were able raise the money that our community will need to enhance the lives of women and youth. Thank you for doing your part in partnering in our efforts by bidding often and bidding big on our auction! 

And remember....ALL funds raised through our event will go directly into service beginning in July.
Here's what your support accomplished last year!

Our Special Appeal for the evening is needed more now than ever!

This year our goal is to raise an additional $5000.00 to benefit our community's Tahoe Magic. 

Tahoe Magic is a local non profit that has been helping South Shore families for the last 27 years.  Originally Tahoe Magic was focused on children, especially at Christmas, but in 2008, during our last recession, families were struggling to maintain shelter, utilities, food, transportation and other immediate or situational crisis needs.  Tahoe Magic changed our mission to helping families in immediate need by working with our referring partners.  Our mission continues to be to help families with one time financial assistance during a time of crisis.  

Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra has chosen Tahoe Magic as our 2020 Fund a Need even before COVID-19, and the resulting economic crisis we find our community and nation in now.  Tahoe Magic, already working with all of our community partners to identify, screen and refer families in need, is now going to be called upon to help our community, our neighbors and friends who will struggle with job loss, closed schools, and yet have mouths to feed and rent, utilities and medial bills to be paid.

Tahoe Magic will be working together with our referring agencies, including El Dorado County Health and Human Services,  LTUSD, Headstart, SLT Family Resource Center, Barton Health, Live Violence Free, Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless, our faith based community, and additional agencies serving families.  Tahoe Magic, thankfully is able to provide direct financial assistance within 24 hours in most instances.

Usually, we present 100 Elegant Bags thanks to the generosity of many in our business community. As we face these challenging times we have had to alter how we present these items. Rather than individual bags at our event as a surprise item, we have combined items and are offering them for sale in our Silent Auction portion of our event!

Event Disclosures

Thank you for your kind attendance and generous support of our fund raiser. You are a partner in our mission to enhance the lives of women and youth in our community and the world.                                        We strongly encourage bidding with PASSION & PURPOSE!

As a special note, with the current conditions, ll auction items will be distributed when the shelter-in-place mandate has been lifted.  Shipping charges will apply for our of town winner. 

1. All auction items offered are donated. There are no auction items for sale on consignment.
2. A bid constitutes a legal contract to buy. You are required by law to pay for the item for which you were the successful bidder. All sales are final, and all items are non-refundable.
3. If an item has an expiration date, it is the responsibility of the winning bidder to comply with the expiration date and to finalize transactions within the time frames specified on the item certificate. All taxes, applicable fees, or reservations are the responsibility of the successful bidder.
4. All items must be paid for by the end of the evening by the successful bidder. Credit Card registrations will provide payment the evening of the event. If an item is to be shipped out of the Lake Tahoe Basin, it is the recipient who is responsible for shipping costs.
5. While every reasonable effort has been made to describe each item correctly, all items and services are sold "as is". Values of items offered for auction are donor's estimates and are not warranted by Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra.
6. We reserve the right to withdraw any property before or during a sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal. The highest bidder acknowledged by the online system will be the purchaser. 
7. Any mistakes in invoicing after the sale will be recognized as such by the buyer and the buyer will be obligated to the price. 
8. Whenever prize donations include alcohol, the bidder must show current identification demonstrating they are legally allowed to make the purchase. Alcohol cannot be shipped. 
9. Many of our donors are in a state of flux at this time. Please call their businesses directly to see when you can begin to use your certificates! And in lieu of current conditions, please use certificates as soon as possible and maybe even buy extra items while you're in their establishments!
