Arrive in roaring 20s style for the Gatsby Gala, presented by Unravel Pediatric Cancer and Unravel the Night SF Bay. Featuring all the glitz and glam of the 1920s, nosh on tasty hors d'oeuvres and delicious desserts, drink award-winning craft beer (or wine!), get goofy in the Photo Booth, and dance the night away.

We can't throw this party without you, so get dolled up and join us Saturday, September 14 at Devil's Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos. 1920s-style attire is optional, but encouraged. Back this year is DJ Tripp- resident DJ of Bootie SF, opening DJ for Aerosmith, Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz, Imagine Dragons and more! All proceeds from this event benefit pediatric cancer research. Join us for a great time for a great cause!

What we do

Unravel is a nonprofit organization working to spread knowledge about the grim realities of pediatric cancer and the devastating impact from the lack of funding. We supply the information, tools and support to individuals and communities that want to help create change- because good people want to do good things but sometimes they need help getting started. All monies raised by and for Unravel will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer.

In addition, Unravel partners with other nonprofits to strengthen our efforts. We do all of this with one goal in mind; we will unravel pediatric cancer.

Our inspiration

Jennifer (JLK) was a beautiful 6 year old who was born with glitter in her veins. She sparkled from the inside out and brought out the sparkle in everybody she met.

Jennifer was diagnosed with DIPG on her 6th birthday. DIPG is a type of brain tumor that has no real treatment options and no cure. It is terminal upon diagnosis, and the average life span following diagnosis is 9 months. Jennifer lived just 3.5 months. It was never a fair fight.

Jennifer's tumors were donated and a cell line has been created from them. Jennifer will be part of finding a cure and her family and friends want to do their part too. Unravel is how we are doing it, spreading knowledge and raising funds. Because knowledge is like glitter... it sticks with you and multiplies, and once we know better, we can do better.
