A Child's Place works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education by stabilizing children and families at the time of a housing crisis.

There are almost 5,000 homeless students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. What these students experience outside of the classroom, as a result of homelessness, impacts their ability to learn. In addition, these children face challenges with school attendance, experience increased stress, anxiety, hunger, depression and physical and emotional health issues.

With your support, we are helping these children and families navigate through resources to remove barriers to education and stable housing. Our dream - and our goal is to end the transfer of inter-generational homelessness.
