Kevin grew up in a family of six children in Viet Nam. When he was 16 he was the sole member of the family to come to the states. Kevin spent 6 months in Houston before coming to Wichita where he was enrolled at East High. He had no family or friends here and knew almost no English. He proved to be a fast learner!
Kevin is married, his wife, Hannah, is a pharmacist for Walgreens.
Kevin was on the fast track, he worked for Pizza Hut Headquarters and described it as a 9-5 job with a lot of travel. The dream job for a lot of people, but Kevin had a longtime love of real estate and a desire to work directly with customers. He wanted control of his schedule - He's become a successful realtor with Berkshire Hathaway.
Kevin says he cares about the homeless, and people who struggle through life, those who struggle emotionally. In our interview he described conversations with people who have asked how to cope in different scenarios with friends or family, and he described the grief of realizing how important his conversations could be after one life ended the morning after they'd talked. He said it makes him take those conversations more seriously, and he is happy to support the mission of Breakthrough -

When Rachel was 3 years old she could only watch her older sister in dance class. She watched jealously as that 4 year old sister got to do everything she wasn't old enough to do yet, and she knew, even then,. Dance was going to be her future. Her dream had been molded!
Rachel has danced all 35 years since then, slowing down only one collegiate year when surgery and school demands required it of her. She says that time off the dance floor made her so unhappy, she never slowed down again.
Rachel is owner of Sway, her dance studio is in Delano, corner of Douglas and Seneca. She's taught ballroom for 13 years but has been assistant teaching as far back as 5th grade when she helped choreograph and teach school productions, and she was even paid to do it!
She was choreographer for the Wichita Grand Opera performance- William Tell, and enjoys her time in that arena.
She took part in "Dancing With the Spartans", a fundraiser for Collegiate School and again, she did well! In fact she and band director, Troy Fischer, took top honors for their cha-cha!
Along with a variety of available instructors, and assortment of classes, Sway is now offering baby ballet, baby ballroom, childrens ballet & ballroom and pre-teen ballet and ballroom. It's the newest addition to the lineup.
Rachel has one more starring role.. She's mom to a busy and handsome 4 year old, Sebastian.
