Fish Bitch Creek with TU Women
Live ItemAnnie and Jon Fenn have generously donated this opportunity for four lucky anglers - special wade access on Bitch Creek in Victor, Idaho with four ladies of TU; Kathleen Doffermyre, Beverly Smith, Maggie Heumann, and Leslie Steen. Kathleen and Beverly have both been fly fishing since they were little girls and fishing together for over a decade, now often with little aspiring anglers of their own in tow. Leslie Steen has a masters degree in fisheries and is great at catching trout with electricity and other field methods. For Maggie, an early love of fly fishing led her to pursue a degree in Entomology and Poultry Science from Auburn University - making her somewhat of a bug and hackle expert - then a Master's Degree in Entomology from the University of Nebraska. She now manages Orvis Jackson Hole and does entomology-related outreach in the community. These ladies have a passion for introducing new and diverse audiences to fly fishing and sharing their love for the wild and beautiful places that trout live, like Bitch Creek. Guests will also be treated to four hats from Art for All by Abby Paffrath.
Bitch Creek is a tributary of the Teton River that flows out of the Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho. This stretch of water is beautiful and rugged, with wild trout that are virtually undisturbed and plentiful. Whether you're a beginner seeking one-on-one instruction or an experienced angler interested in a unique opportunity to fish unpressured water, this is a special trip you won't want to miss.

Yellowstone Thorofare Trip
Live ItemJourney deep into the heart of Yellowstone's Thorofare, the most remote place in the lower 48 states, with 5 of your most adventurous friends and the Triangle X Ranch in search of Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout and witness "The Return" first hand!
Yellowstone Lake and the upper Yellowstone River and its tributaries once teemed with incredible numbers of native Yellowstone cutthroat trout and was the largest Yellowstone cutthroat fishery in the world. This magnificent spawning run of cutthroat trout, a journey of 50 miles roundtrip from Yellowstone Lake and back, was almost completely lost as the population of Yellowstone cutts in the Lake plummeted in the 1990s and 2000s due to the introduction of non-native lake trout - a tragedy for the entire Yellowstone ecosystem. In addition, tourism related to the cutthroat fishery was estimated to generate nearly $10 million a year when healthy but all but disappeared during these years. But thanks to the persistent, tireless conservation efforts of grassroots TU leaders like Dave Sweet, together with agency partners, researchers, anglers, conservationists, sportsmen and women, and outfitters from across the region and nation (as chronicled in "The Return" film by KGB Productions), efforts to restore this iconic Yellowstone cutthroat trout population are having an impact...and the fish are back.
This is your chance to experience the trip of a lifetime with 5 companions into this beautiful, wild, remote place. The Triangle X Ranch's camp is located right on the banks of the Yellowstone River in the Thorofare. You will "rough it" in style at this wilderness camp which is set up with your comfort in mind. The Triangle X's guides, wranglers and cooks are experienced, know the country and take pride in sharing their knowledge and history of the area. After a hearty dinner and relaxing evening around the fire, you will find a warm sleeping bag, soft mattress and roomy tent waiting for you. You do not need to be an expert rider to experience the trip - the Ranch's horses are well trained, strong and mountain wise. And the fish? According to Diana Sweet Miller, many fish were in the 25 inch range and most were over 20 inches!
This is an all-inclusive trip for 6 anglers (except for applicable taxes, gratuity, and alcohol) valued at $9,540.
Valid for 2020 season. Subject to availability, early booking recommended. Call Triangle X at 307-733-2183.
