Boots Allen is a third generation fishing guide whose family has significantly contributed to the development of the fly fishing industry in Wyoming since the 1920s. He began guiding for his father and uncle while still in high school and is in the middle of his 25th season of guiding on the waters of Wyoming and Idaho.

Boots has penned a variety of articles for national fly fishing magazines, is the author of three books on fly fishing, co-produced conservation films for Jah Trout Productions, and has been a featured personality in regional and national television programs.

The rod itself, designed to represent the features of the Snake River Cutthroat Trout, features a metallic gold primary section and a metallic red load section. It is wrapped in Pro Wrap metallic winding threads and features rod furniture turned down from stabilized White Ash, and detailed in the resembling spot patterning of the infamous Snake River inhabitant for which this rod is themed. The "Wyo Pride" is a 9ft., 4wt., 4pc., - Fast Action fly rod built on a Rod Geeks Carbon 4 blank and coated in a two color, high gloss, heat treated acrylic. It features anodized aluminum hardware and furniture casted from a hybrid combination of acrylic composite and an exoctic wood native to South America called Marblewood. All organic materials integrated into the rod were subjected to a "stabilization" process known as Vacuum Casting which, includes the act of opening the microscopic pores of the wood via a vacuum chamber and using this process to impregnate it with a resin called Cactus Juice. Once all air has been purged and replaced with resin from within the chamber, the wood is removed and baked in a curing process for 48 hours. The end result is a preserved, resilient organic material for which the effects of water and natural elements are withstood. The Reel Seat is a hybrid unit consisting of Alumilite Casted Acrylic impregnated with gold and copper metallic flaking, bonded to a stabilized piece of Cedar in a process called "Hybrid Casting." The guide wraps are secured to the blank using ProWrap Metallic winding thread and the butt section of each auxiliary stick features a custom, gold tinsel graphic laser cut in the shape of the locally renowned "Stream Boat." The rod comes inside an American Flag themed rod sock and a rod tube airbrushed in Brown Trout Pattern, featuring a powder coated cap which also feature the "Stream Boat" graphic. Finally, the main stick label ties the theme of this rod off with the accenting graphic that describes the motivation behind it's design; a large graphic that reads the commonality we all have to cherish and appreciate everyday.
